PROJECT PROFILE: A kitchen built for a family
To say I know these smiling faces is an understatement. I was there when 2 of their 3 children were born. I have enjoyed many a coffee and single malt around this island. And for a long time we discussed what could be done with this kitchen.
It was only a short 7 years prior that the space had been completely gutted and renovated. The then newlywed home-owners had worked hard to conceive a space that paid homage to their Cuban-Greek heritage. Bold turquoises and bright reds brought life to the previously dated space. But now, a mere 7 years and 3 children later, the demands on the space had changed emencely. The small table and curved island no longer met their needs as a family of 5. Cracked and worn it was time for a refresh.
And so, as had been done many times before, we sat down to coffee and began to discuss how to make it all work...
